Ana López Salgado

Born in Donostia-San Sebastián in 1979.

She holds an Agricultural Engineering Degree from the Public University of Navarra (2003) and a Master's Degree in Integrated Planning for Rural Development and Management of the Environment from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza (IAMZ-CIHEAM) (2005).

In the field of climate change, she has coordinated and managed for the City Council of Donostia--San Sebastián the definition of the 1st Local Climate Change Plan. In addition, she has undertaken consultancy projects on the management of carbon sinks and local and regional policies of climate change for public organisations (IHOBE, Fundación Basoa, Mesa Intersectorial de la Madera, City Council of Donostia-San Sebastián, etc.).

In the field of local sustainability, she has coordinated the process of reviewing the Local Action Plan (LA21) and drawing up a climate change strategy for Zarautz. In addition, she has participated as a technician in other projects to review and assess action plans and to calculate indicators.

In the fields of communication and participation, she has been involved in drawing up local sustainability reports and has promoted citizen participation sessions and internal management systems linked to the management of Agenda 21 Action Plans for towns in the Basque Country.
