She holds a Biological Science Degree, with a specialisation in ecosystems, from the University of the Basque Country (1998) and a postgraduate qualification in Municipal Management of Local Agenda 21, which was organised by the University of the Basque Country and the environmental museum Ingurugiro Etxea (2003).
She has experience in providing assistance to Basque municipalities in aspects related to the management of Local Agenda 21. She provides a technical assistance service for the MUGI 21 tool in over 180 Basque municipalities. She has participated in the following projects. Assistance in processes of assessing execution and annual programming in a different towns, in the framework of the 2nd and 3rd Programme to assess and monitor LA21 in the Basque Country (CAPV) by means of the MUGI 21 tool. Assistance in assessing the degree of implementation of the Action Plans of Gipuzkoa municipalities, in the framework of the 2007 and 2008 programmes to support town councils in Gipuzkoa in assessments of the execution of local action plans.
She has recently coordinated the process of reviewing the Alonsotegi Local Action Plan - LA21.
