Born in Donostia-San Sebastián in 1969.

She holds a Geological Sciences Degree and a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (1993 and 1996, respectively), as well as a postgraduate qualification in Groundwater Hydrology from the International Center for Groundwater Hydrology (FCIHS, Barcelona, 1994).

In the field of the environment in organisations, she has participated in numerous Environmental Improvement Plans for companies, buildings and government departments, by establishing environmental management systems in accordance with UNE-EN-ISO 14.001, Ekoscan and EMAS regulations and other types of sectoral plans (on waste, etc.)

With respect to studies on pollution in different environments, she has undertaken research on the pollution of groundwater and surface water in the Basque Country and studies on soil contamination of various plots and dumps.

In the field of climate change, she has participated in the development of IT tools for calculating greenhouse gas emissions and the environmental impact of companies in the CAPV.

She has also participated intermittently in the development of environmental impact studies, inventories of contaminated soils and inventories of hazardous and inert waste. In addition, she has undertaken projects related to the carriage of dangerous goods by road and its impact on the environment.
